May 14th, 2009, 5:11 pm by Cameron Bird

mathnasium_blogCompetition is brewing, dividing and conquering at University Center.

Next Sunday, May 31, Mathnasium of Irvine is holding its second annual Math Triathlon. What’s that, you ask?

The free match-up has three events: the Counting Game (self-explanatory), Magic Squares (develop your own math problem), and Mental Math Workout (pen-and-paper problem-solving). Questions get progressively more difficult for students in higher grade levels.

Oh, and prizes: first place gets an iPod shuffle, second place a Disney gift card, and third place an Irvine Spectrum gift card. Everyone who plays the game gets a free giveaway.

To register, call 949-608-7331 or click here by May 23.
