During the holidays, a crowded shopping center can quickly turn into a zoo. Or it can lead you to one.
The Irvine Spectrum Center and the Market Place are holding a limited-time-only promotion. Now through New Year’s Eve, the first 1,000 customers who buy $75 or more in American Express preferred gift cards will receive a free adult admission to the San Diego Zoo.
Preferred gift cards are like deductible debit cards, and can be used anywhere that accepts American Express.
The zoo ticket is good for unlimited use of the Guided Bus tour, Express Bus, and Skyfari Aerial Tram, and is valued at $34, according to its Web site.
