Leasing began last month at a Shea Properties-owned, Caribbean-style housing complex at the corner of Jamboree Road and Alton Parkway, mere blocks away from The District shopping center and Legacy Park.

Calypso Apartments and Lofts comprise 177 units – studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and lofts. Floor plans range from 605- to 1,448-square feet and monthly rents range from $1,695 to $3,340. Residences combine Pergo flooring, maple wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Community features include a resort-style pool and spas with cabanas; a plasma TV- and Wi-Fi-decked clubhouse; and a fitness center with cardio and weight training equipment, according to a press release.
