If you’ve ever traveled to France, you know that crepes are a popular culinary dish for locals and tourists alike. But thanks to the Crepe Maker restaurant in the Irvine Spectrum Center, you don’t have to travel quite that far to enjoy an authentic French crepe.

Last week, after running around town one morning, I decided to stop by Crepe Maker for a quick lunch (translation: take-out). Since I had never actually had a crepe before, I really didn’t know what to expect from the place. What I encountered – was satisfyingly good.

The menu here is quite large. They offer customers over 30 different varieties of crepes to choose from. So, you’re almost certain to find something that suits your fancy.

Their menu is basically divided into two main categories: entrée crepes and dessert crepes.

On the entrée side, choices include everything from Steak Milanese and Havana Chicken to Caesar Chicken and Very Philly Steak. Options from the dessert menu have names like Strawberry Supreme, Nutty Caramel Apple, and Nutella Solo.

After taking a couple of minutes to look over the menu, I decided to go with the Honey Mustard Chicken crepe. In hindsight, that was a wise decision as I really enjoyed the meal. The ingredients were fresh, the crepe had a good flavor and most importantly – it was filling.

Crepe Maker is located near the Dave & Buster’s in Spectrum Center. Their phone number is 949-585-9898. For more information visit www.crepemaker.com
