I was at the Post Office yesterday and was reminded that stamps go up a penny to 42 cents this Monday, but I could get “forever stamps” for 41 cents before then – and those stamps would be good for “as long as post offices still exist.” The lady told me I could buy a surplus of stamps and give them to my grandchildren who could sell them on eBay when stamps are $5. But still, I wasn’t convinced to buy, because I am pretty selective about which pictures and designs are on my stamps. I just used up a set with animals from children books, like the very hungry caterpillar. The extra money is worth the cuteness.
