Bluewater Grill is opening its 7,250-square-foot restaurant today in The District. There will be a number of new specialty dishes, including crispy skin barramundi (that’s a fish) with fennel and olive reduction; Alaskan halibut with a yam-tempura crust, sweet chili glaze and glass noodle salad; and a “small plate” menu listing sliders, oyster shooters with vodka, and salt and pepper shrimp, according to written announcement from the restaruant. There will also be a circular Live Seafood Bar with constantly changing menu of oysters grown and harvested exclusively for Bluewater Grill, according to the statement, and served on the half-shell, plus sashimi, seared ahi tuna, oysters, mussels and clams.

The restaurant is at at 2409 Park Ave. It will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The District retail center is at Jamboree and Barranca, just over the Irvine border in Tustin.
