If you like sandwiches, the place to go is Togo’s. You can find everything from chicken to veggies to ham and even a taco sandwich. And if you want a salad, Togo’s has those too: Santa Fe chicken, Asian chicken and Farmer’s Market, to name a few.
Every day there is also a special sandwich offered such as the Shanghai chicken fajita chicken or pastrami.
The bread is baked fresh daily at Togo’s and ranges from rustic white, Parmesan, Dutch crunch, onion herb or honey wheat.
Sandwiches come with mayo or mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles, pepperoncinis, salt and pepper. There are cheese choices, too, including Provolone, Swiss, Cheddar and American.
I recently visited the Togo’s on Harvard Avenue and placed my order for the roasted chicken Caesar wrap.
Before I could blink it was up and ready to go. Maybe that’s why they call it Togo’s …
My wrap was a good-sized wheat tortilla rolled up and filled with cubed roasted chicken breast, Romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese and crunchy croutons all tossed in a light Caesar dressing.
I must admit, it was nice to get two meals in one: a sandwich and a salad!
I loved the crunchy croutons. The chicken was tender, and the dressing was not too strong. This was definitely a sandwich I would try again.
Other selections on my radar include the Hummus, Pacific Cobb, Sicilian chicken and the chunky chicken salad with almonds.
